Description

The Lower Grades Class emphasizes Language Arts and basic Math skills. Students will engage in a variety of meaningful, integrated activities including:

  • Storytelling & Re-telling (comprehension, memory work, oral language skills, sequencing & more)
  • Songs & Verses (oral language development, love / appreciation of language)
  • Form Drawing (develops eye-hand coordination, special awareness, foundational skill for printing & writing, mathematical awareness and more)
  • Movement activities (special awareness, left-right awareness, proprioception development, crossing the midline, and more)
  • Basic Grammar (language arts)
  • Art will be integrated into the curriculum often; as well as enjoyed on its own
  • Mental Math / Math Games / Skill Practice
  • And more
